This week we want to highlight some diverse presenters we will have at the virtual event this year. The Camp Sol includes an amazing mix of community leaders, talented artists, the Deaf Institute Board of Trustees, and teachers who all help campers thrive and build a sense of purpose in life. We are thrilled to spotlight Akilah English, Juan Bernal, Roberto Sandoval, Zandrea Pitterson, Syd Ahmed, Jennifer Tandoc, Teddy Dorsette III, Ivy Velez, Gabriel Arellano, Maria Hernandez and Evelis Vélez. We are excited to host our virtual summer camp from July 26th-29th, 2021 (Monday through Thursday from 10-12 and 1-3:30pm) Age 9-11, Ages 12-14 and Ages 15-21. There is good news! We are going to host a virtual event and do our best to make everyone still feel our love. This Facebook Live event will be held on Saturday, April 24th from 7pm-8:30pm and will give our supporters from around the world and the community the opportunity to join us in this fundraiser event. And, it will be fun! We will have a facilitator Joyce Hom for our silent auction event. Please mark your calendar and join us on April 24th to help us make this event happen! The interviewer asked me how I came to be an advocate for Deaf children of color. Theresa coordinated the event prior my interview and sent the beautiful message. I did a great job answering the bullet points of the interview.

ASL Summer Camp for CODA in New JerseyNext year is going to be exciting, so much fun and memorable. We are extremely excited to offer this program.
