NY Yankee Annual ASL Fundraiser 2020

YANKEES VS SEATTLE MARINERS TICKETS - We are excited to announce that Deaf Entertainment Access Foundation and Camp Sol of the Deaf, Inc agree to sell NY Yankee tickets for fundraising purposes. 

These are 30 tickets, section 107, rows 10 and 11 to Yankee vs Mariners for Saturday, May 23, 2020. These tickets would sell for $80.00. It includes Hot dog, Soda, and NY Yankees Baseball Cap.

The First CSD Community kick-off meeting is finally here!

​Join us at Camp Sol of the Deaf, Inc with stakeholders, attendees, directors, and interpreters to plan out all potential programs or work that we will do to better serve their deaf and hard of hearing campers of colors.

The event is invitation-only, however we will be holding a first stakeholder meeting.
If you plan to drive a car, please let Mayra Castro know as soon as possible. It allows her time to ask the city hall to get you the parking pass permit. If you plan to travel from NYC, take the 159 zone 2 bus. The first stop of the 159 bus route is Port Authority Bus Terminal and the last stop is Bergenline Avenue at Union City, NJ

Plan your children’s summer

Meet with director and assistant director from New Jersey.

There is one camp for multicultural child and teens. Sleepaway camp at Camp Linwood MacDonald inspires deaf, hard of hearing and CODA (NEW) campers try new things, build & strengthen friendship,create a sense of belongings, and become more responsible, respectful and honest. 

Come gather information on the camp.

Event, co-sponsored by  the Latino Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association of the  Metropolitan DC, Area and Latinx Student Union will take place in the Olmsted Green/Faculty Row from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Camp Sol of the Deaf will host Summer Camp Parent Information Night on May 15

​What: Summer Camp Parent Information Night
When: Thursday, May 15, 2019

The Camp Sol of Deaf will host a Summer Camp Parent Information Night on Thursday, May 15, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. This event is open to both parents and families who are already registered or who are considering registration.

Camp Director Mayra Castro will provide a camp experience presentation, as well as an explanation of the summer camp registration process and camp safety. There will also be an open Q&A session. Afterwards, she will be available for a meet-and- greet.

Camp Sol of the Deaf offers a one-week summer camp experience July 14 to July 20. Camp Programs include: Deaf Visual Arts, ASL Trivia, Zip Line, Paddleboard and Hiking Trails, and more.

​What: New Jersey Association of the Deaf to host 2nd Biennial Deaf Youth Day
When: Saturday, April 13th, 2019
Time:  10am to 4pm
Where: Meadow Lakes

Mayra Castro, camp director of Camp Sol of the Deaf will attend the event. She will provide a brief presentation and wants to interact with parents and children.  Spots are available on a first-come and first-served basis so reserve your spot now! Camp Registration Open January 7, 2019
Registration will begin on Monday, January 7th at noon. Registration will be available online and you are highly encouraged to take advantage of this service.  Be mindful that camp registration is first come-first served, registering online may be quicker and will help to ensure you will not get  blocked out of the program.
