Camp Sol of the Deaf, Inc is now accepting volunteer application for a variety of positions for its fun, outdoor summer day camp. If you love working with children and enjoy being outside in the summer, then this is a perfect job for you. Application (resumes/reference optional) must be received by October 31, 2019.

Camp Sol of the Deaf is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides camp for deaf and hard of hearing youth that may often feel marginalized; our camp build confident, resilience and community, and offer a place where camper can feel a sense of belonging. (we are in process of applying 501(c)(3) status with the IRS)
Our Mission is to create a welcoming, educational and recreational experiences for all children in a diverse environment, increase multicultural and social interactions, explore their Deaf identity and develop leadership skills.

Our current board members are:
- A diverse group of educators, artist teachers, Deaf Professionals, etc
- Seeking four (4) new members from all qualified candidates
- 12 monthly meeting, zoom meeting times out at 40 minutes
- Committees and Chairperson include Fundraising and Earned Income, Finance, Audit, Presentation, and Trade Market Booth
Board responsibilities:
1. Fundraising Coordinator
- Manage fundraising event by coordinating with several key people to participate in the event
- delegate a task to the individual involved in the event and make sure that each staff is able to perform efficiently and productivity
- help in obtaining the fund
2. Camp Registrar
- Maintain & lead the effort of timely communication with directors
- Coordinate all aspects of the camper registration process, including camp tour, other recruitment events
- Work with the camp director to manage the intake of new campers
3. Workshop Coordinator
- Work with community partners and other program staff exercising leadership in project planning, implementation and reporting for all CSD's Summer Youth Program activities
4. Media & Public Relation
- Must have an extensive understanding of FB, Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram
- the ideal candidate must be savvy, resourceful, detail-oriented, positive and well written and have photography experience with a good eye for capturing camp moments
- Take photos daily, upload them to our camp website and post it to social media outlet regularly
- Create and follow the shoot schedule for all CSD camps
