The 200 acre YMCA Camp Linwood MacDonald is located 0.8 miles Highway 206 south, 54 miles south of St. John’s Church’s parking lot at 871 McCarter Highway, Newark 07102. It is nestled in the breathtaking landscape of New Jersey's Sussex County.

Welcome back to our Camp Sol 
​Summer Camp 2022!

Camp Sol is the best way of campers to have a trilling fun-filled summer that increases their self-confidence and helps them develop new skills!
​Payment Plan:
*** $75 Deposit (Non-Refundable) to reserve a spot! (First-come, First served) ***
  • Please complete the registration form/income application, Camp Sol will review your application immediately and contact you if you qualified for scholarship. 
  • For low-income families, Camp Sol will help offer scholarships and give options that will fit your budget.
  • Camp Director will contact low-income/middle-class families over videophone to make payment plans prior to May 1st, 2022.
  • Campership are available. ​

 ¡Camp Sol es la mejor manera de que los campistas tengan un verano emocionante y lleno de diversión que aumenta su confianza en sí mismos y les ayuda a desarrollar nuevas habilidades!​
Plan de pagos:
  • ***$75.00 depósito (no reembolsable) para reservar su espacio.  (por orden de llegada)
  • Por favor, complete el formulario de inscripción / solicitud de ingresos, Camp Sol revisará su solicitud de inmediato y se comunicará con usted si solicita una beca.​
  • Para las familias de bajos ingresos, Camp Sol ayudará a ofrecer becas y dará opciones que se ajusten a su presupuesto.
  • La Directora del Campamento se comunicará con familias de bajos ingresos / clase media por videoteléfono para hacer planes de pago antes del 1 de mayo de 2022.​

WHERE IS YMCA CAMP LINWOOD MACDONALD LOCATED?
YMCA Camp Linwood Macdonald is in Sandyston, NJ. It is approximately one hour and 15 minutes from Newark, NJ and 5 hours from Washington, DC.
What kind of positions are available for this summer
We always are looking to hire for many different positions Whether you want to be a camp counselor, RN nurse, a photographer and specialist in a specific area of camp, we would love to talk to you! you can see more details on the Staff position page. 
WHAT IS CAMP SUMMER CAMP?
​Camp Sol Summer Camp is a week long overnight camp experience for enrolled deaf and hard of hearing members of the Camp Sol Youth program in New Jersey and in the Northeast region. Camp staffs in conjunction with two adult directors plan the camp program from January until camp begins during the fourth week of July. At regular meetings and staff training events, they plan Covid-19 protocols, games, nature activities, hikes, swimming events, arts and crafts projects, and deaf leadership to give camp participants a week of fun, they will always remember.

The camp activities are planned and organized  and led by the youth staff and directors. Campers are divided into two age appropriate teams with staff members as deaf leaders. Teams meet everyday to plan activities such as hikes, attend nature education sessions, team activities. Camp is a place to meet people, make life-long friendship, and discover their deaf identify in a multicultural environment.

This is an overnight camp that consist of 7 days & 6 night camp experience that starts on Sunday and end on Morning the following Saturday.  All camp participants must reside in the northeast region but must enrolled in programs on a first-come, first served basis.
What happens in a typical camp day?
Our campers to get to experience a wide variety of activities each day, including sports, arts, outdoor learning and other programs with their peers. Check out our Fun Camp page to learn more. - COMING SOON!
