CAMP SOL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH EVENTSCSD 2021 VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS

CSD'S HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH EVENTS |
Registration is now open for the Camp Sol of the Deaf, Inc (CSD) Hispanic Heritage Month 2021 - It is our first-ever event during Hispanic Heritage Month.
This year's theme is "Renew, Reinvest, Restart". Deaf Latino and Hispanic students will have the opportunity to virtually meet a panel of Deaf Hispanic/Latino presenters to explore their own identities, develop positive self-esteem, and become leaders within the Deaf Hispanic/Latino Community. We also welcome parents of Deaf children of all ages to meet our organization of Deaf role models.
Other presenters have included Zoila Barazarte ("Traditional Piñata Workshop"), Evelis Velez ("The Colors of Love"), Roberto Sandoval ("Living Legends: Successful Latinos/Hispanic Deaf People") and Jose-Ovi Velasquez ("Start with a Seed").
Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We will host a lively visual and artistic deaf leadership events which will showcase our Hispanic culture and Heritage.
Dates for the 2021 fall sessions have been officially scheduled for
Saturday, October 9th I 1-3:00p.m. EST
Tuesday, October 12th I 7-8:30p.m. EST
Friday, October 15th I 7-8:30p.m. EST
Saturday, October 16th I 1-3:00p.m. EST

A Letter to Parents: Virtual Camp Announcement 2021Our Spanish interpreter Maria Aponte-Mercado helps to translate a parent letter for Spanish-Speaking Parents and Caregivers. This video has audio only but we strive to collaborate with bilingual service providers to accommodate them.
