Danilo TorresDanilo Torres currently works at Gallaudet University as International Liaison Specialist and he earned his master's degree in deaf education from Gallaudet University, his bachelor's degree in mathematics from State University New York, and his associate in applied science in computer and accounting. Danilo is skilled in the areas of international education, interpreting, photography and videography, and web design. He currently is one of Zoppi board of directors.
Danilo has taught American Sign Language (ASL), English, mathematics, and cross-cultural communication for international students in Gallaudet's English Institute Language at Gallaudet Univeristy. He has also taught ASL to hearing people since 1994 in a variety of school settings in the New York City area. Danilo has a strong background in Mexican, Colombian, and other Spanish deaf cultures and languages, as well as American deaf culture and language. He was president of the Latino Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association of the Metropolitan DC area. He is currently founder, webmaster and social media administrator of the "Miss Mister Sordos Colombia" Foundation as well as founder of the "Sordos de Colombia" (Deaf Colombia) website and the "LSC" (Language Sign Colombian forum - Deaf Community) Facebook page. |
